Chestnuts: the queen of Fall in Tuscany

All the good things of wood... From Marradi to San Godenzo, through Firenzuola, Palazzuolo sul Senio and Vicchio. Tasteful October Sundays in the Mugello area and in the florentine mountains wait for tourists to meet the delicate and strong flavours of the local territory, such as chestnut tortelli, chestnut pudding, castagnaccio, roasted chestnuts ecc. and to admire the treasures of the small villages.

Chestnuts (marroni) and truffles are the main characters of the gastronomic fall in Mugello, where the Mugello chestnut is exclusively produced (I.G.P.).

Actually, various events are dedicated to this product of the land and to its gourmand variations: gnocchi, chestnut cake, tortelli filled with chestnut creme.
