Every season is perfect for a trip to Chianti, that hilly area of Tuscany world famous for its picturesque landscapes and excellent wines. The scene is worthy of a postcard: vineyards, flowering trees, green fields and cypress trees shading the antique stone farmhouses. We must also remember that these hills in Chianti are hosts to medieval villages, antique villas and abbeys.

Pianvecchio is a charming, panoramic wine estate in the rolling hills of Radda in Chianti which looks out over vineyards and olive groves. The property has been reconstructed and brought up to date with all modern technology and comforts. The centuries old stone villa was originally a defence lookout point looking out over the valley.

In the immediate area of the town of Radda, guests can easily explore the unique regions of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti or relax at the villa enjoying wine tastings, the gym and wellness area around the pool.

GARDEN AND SWIMMING POOL: To the left of the villa there is the kitchen leading onto a patio with bbq, pizza oven and an “al fresco” dining area. On this side there is the garden area with pool (12 x 5 metres, depth from 1,4 to 2 metres; entrance with Roman staircase), umbrellas, deck chairs, and children’s games.

On the other side if the villa there is a delightful gazebo with tables and chairs, ideal for breakfast in peace and quiet.

The property is completely enclosed.

ACCOMMODATION: 900 square metres. The reconstruction offers modern comforts whilst retaining the historic characteristics and the original materials. There are archways, vaulted ceilings, irregular stone walls and large windows which give light and views onto the surrounding hills and give witness to the the century old development aim an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity.

Ground floor: Sitting room with two divans and two armchairs, TV and fireplace. Separate room with two single beds 90 x 180 cm (No en suite bathroom), can be used for kids, or guests. Dining room which seats 12, TVSAT, mobile bar. Liveable professional kitchen with stove with 5 gas burners, induction cooking with 2 burners, table for 6, TV, wine cooler, Guest bathroom with WC and washbasin. Elevator.

Lower Ground floor: Wine cellar with a selection of wines for sale. Gym with weights, vogatore, ciclette, yoga equipment, TV. Wellness area with it’s turkish bath, basin and shower. Bathroom with bathtub, WC and basin. Bathroom with shower and basin. Laundry.

First floor: Sitting room with divans, armchairs, Smart-TV and fireplace, bar with glasses, wine fridge, ice maker, little fridge. Bedroom 1: double bed, wardrobe, desk and chair, ensuite bathroom with shower, bidet, basin, WC. Bedroom 2: double bed, wardrobe, desk and chair, ensuite bathroom with shower, bidet, basin, WC. NOTE. The five double beds cannot be converted into two singles. The owner of the villa is pleased to offer an arrival dinner to his guests. Wood for the fireplaces is provided. The guests are kindly requested NOT to use the laundry, this will be looked after by the housekeeper. There is a lift which connects the ground floor to the first floor. The caretaker Is available 5 hours a day. The cellar is locked unless the guests wish to buy wine from the housekeeper.

LOCATION: Nearest village Radda in Chianti 1,5 kms. Supermarket 3 kms. Train station Montevarchi 20 kms. In Radda you can find shops, restaurants, supermarket, bank and pharmacy. All the most important Tuscan and Umbrian cities are 2/3 hours drive. (Lucca, Pisa, Volterra, Arezzo, Cortona, Urbino, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Gimignano, Vinci, Certaldo not to mention the infinite number of villages, medieval and Renaissance castles all within 20 kms.

In case of cancellation of a booking, the clients are entitled to a refund based on the days in advance of arrival day, as follows:

• If the cancellation is made 60 days or more prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
• If the cancellation is made between 59 and 30 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
• If the cancellation is made between 29 and 7 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
• If the cancellation is made between 6 and 1 days prior arrival day: 0% of the amount paid.
